“Self-esteem is our assessment of our own self”. Essentially it is a measure of self-worth, importance, self-confidence, and self-acceptance. There are so many life experiences which can positively or negatively impact our self-esteem. The goal is to not let negative experiences influence us too much and let positive experiences influence us more.
Even though self-esteem shifts and changes across our lives, we have a general feeling about ourselves which usually stays pretty consistent. We can either have a negative self-esteem or a positive self-esteem. So, have a look and see which side you fall more on so we can make improvements and choose to be happier!

If you have a positive self-esteem you are probably already confident and accept yourself so you would not need to do too much extra work. But, if you have a negative self-esteem you may be feeling really despondent and unworthy which is something I want to change for you.
Building up self-esteem is a slow process that requires patience and perseverance. Imagine any internalised belief you have and now try to change it overnight; it’s not possible right?? Self-esteem is the exact same thing; you have built up a negative belief about yourself over many months or years so it will take the same amount of time or longer to break down this belief.
DON’T GET DISCOURAGED! You are worthy of some self-care and focusing on working on being in love with the person you see in the mirror. Remember you have been through so much and you are still standing so your strength is within you!
